Protecting Our Planet
How should we strike a balance between economic and consumer growth and the protection of the Earth and resources? This task is so complex that any activity, product or innovation carried out by Sylnta and all stakeholders must be conducive to reducing environmental footprint.
Continued industrialization and urbanization throughout the world represent increasing energy consumption. In this context, we are tirelessly committed to reducing carbon emissions, improving the ecological footprint of our products throughout the whole lifetime, and carrying out ecological protection initiatives. Therefore, we adopt renewable vegetable oil instead of mineral oil as the raw materials, replacing chemicals with natural enzymes to produce food formulations, and toxic solvents with natural enzymes to produce resins.
Keeping Resources at Their Highest Utility
To protect our planet means to keep our existing resources at their highest utility.
Naturally, we and our partners must develop sustainable solutions to minimize the impact on the environment.
Our eco-efficiency enhancement initiative, especially advanced production project, gets all Sylnta departments involved and utilizes the knowledge and expertise of its business fields, which enable us to find a better, greener and more intelligent processing.
This means that we have to make our production be more consistent with the needs of sustainability, thus reducing the utility of water, energy and other materials. It also means that we should bear in mind that the energy is non-renewable when we develop our products. Nowadays, recycling is an important part of our value proposition.
As a consumer, we often do this in our daily lives.
Advancing Sustainability Beyond the Sylnta Business
Sustainability is the core of Sylnta’s all business. But we are only one part of a huge value chain——sustainability can only be achieved when all links of the entire value chain are working towards the same goal. At Sylnta, we are working to turn it into reality.
Cooperating with Sustainable Suppliers
As a company with sustainability as its core value, Sylnta is committed to improving the ecological footprint of its business, including minimizing water and energy consumption, controlling waste and emission, and maximizing the utility of resources.
Meanwhile, we also demand suppliers to meet our standard of sustainability and reduce their ecological footprint so as to improve the ecological footprint of the entire value chain. Besides, Sylnta focuses on offering innovative solutions to our customers, customers’ customers and consumers to help them improve ecological footprint.
Sylnta focuses on enhancing ecological value through innovation. For instance, in terms of improving the value chain of industry of animal protection, Sylnta analyses the feed consumption for each per kg of live weight. Through analysis and research, we reveal the most influential factors to the meat ratio, and make it the potential target of ecological innovation.
Protecting Lives on the Planet
Our planet faces many challenges in protecting biodiversity. Biodiversity is regarded as a source of inspiration and innovation, which is one of the reasons why Sylnta is actively responding to these challenges.
Biodiversity is the spine of all life on the earth. However, many species of flora and fauna are being exterminated at an alarming rate and the natural environment is increasingly being destroyed. This poses a great threat to mankind and also affects our way of life today and even the future. This is why we actively contribute to avoiding further degradation of natural habitats and to protecting ecological diversity——after all, all enterprises should play an important role in natural conservation. It is clear to us that this is a learning process where requires awareness first, especially when biodiversity is often interrelated. For instance, reducing the amount of water may increase energy consumption or require replacement of raw material.
For a long time, Sylnta has been, and will always be, committed to minimizing our impact on ecological environment by improving efficiency and production regulation. We are now reducing the potential influence by adopting a range of legal and voluntary projects such as REACH, global product strategy, carbon emission trading, climate policy, water policy as well as sustainable procurement.
